A Rare Window on the Best of Hydrogen — Sydney, 22 September

Hydrogen has no shortage of conferences. What it doesn't have is many rooms where the people actually deploying it — production, purification, storage, refuelling, project delivery — sit down together and talk about what's working today, not what might work in a decade.

On 22 September, SolidHydrogen and the University of Sydney are opening exactly that room. We're bringing together operators, technology developers and infrastructure partners already putting hydrogen to work in live industrial and mobility applications — then opening the doors of MERLIN, the University of Sydney's new Hydrogen Lab, for the first time.

Why it's worth your afternoon

This isn't a trade-show panel reciting roadmaps. It's a working conversation grounded in what's actually running today: beyond the established industries that already depend on hydrogen, the new sectors opening up around it — ammonia, power generation, natural hydrogen, biomass, synthetic aviation fuel, industrial gas supply — and the concrete engineering, materials and infrastructure choices making these markets commercially viable right now.

Then you get to walk through the lab itself. MERLIN is the University of Sydney's new Hydrogen Lab and SolidHydrogen's research partner — the official opening is followed by a guided tour of the facility and its hydrogen research program, hosted by Professor Kondo-François Aguey-Zinsou.
